Desma grew up 30 miles south of Washington, D.C. in the charming small town of LaPlata, MD. She developed a strong love of acting and singing there at a very young age. By the time Desma was 18, she had performed in over 20 local, regional and national productions including The Homecoming, The King and I, Annie, Bye Bye Birdie, and A Christmas Carol.

At the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, Desma received her BA in Radio, Television and Motion Pictures and appeared on the cable soap opera General College. After graduation Desma wanted to gain well-rounded experience in the entertainment industry, so she worked on the production side of film projects such as Forrest Gump, True Lies and Major League 2. She also appeared in Clear and Present Danger and America’s Most Wanted.

After moving to Los Angeles, Desma performed in student and independent films, episodic TV and national commercials. Her credits include Melrose Place and Clubland, as well as national campaigns for Diet Coke, Ford, and Magnavox.

Since moving to Seattle, Desma has appeared in TV spots for the Washington State Lottery and Raymond James Financial Services.

Desma loves to travel and has been to 45 of the 50 United States as well as 11 countries in Europe. She most recently was in Scotland where she and her best friend Edward were married in a church at the foot of Edinburgh Castle where her great great great great grandparents were married in 1813.
