Vanessa Kimble took second place in the “Star Lake Elementary School Spelling Bee” and immediately knew she was destined for something. She never made it to another spelling bee final, but she did find her way behind many more microphones!

Kimble has been working in media for over fifteen years. She’s currently an Account Manager for Leigh Stowell & Company, where she travels to television stations and delivers research presentations with flare and enthusiasm. Prior to working for Leigh Stowell, Kimble most recently held the position of Sales & Marketing Manager for Fisher Pathways, Inc. In 2000, she was the Director of New Media for DWJ Television in New York.

She began her career in Seattle working for Fisher Broadcasting. She is a graduate of the Edward R. Murrow School of Communication at Washington State University (WSU) with degrees in Communication and French. Kimble was also the 1993 Nancy Graham Award winner, given to a promising WSU broadcasting student each year.

Kimble’s most recent challenges include: learning to play the piano and obtaining a MAT degree from Seattle Pacific University. Her greatest passions in life include: her family, soccer, football, food and wine. While Kimble travels extensively, her favorite place is at home (with a big cup of coffee) in Seattle’s Maple Leaf neighborhood.
