Born and raised in Spanaway, Washington, Erika Godwin found
the love of acting at an early age, starring (as most young
actors do) in a junior high school production of Our Town,
where she played the role of Emily. She has been acting
steadily since that premiere, where she uttered Emily’s first
line: “I’m the brightest girl in school for my age. I have a
wonderful memory.”
Her real-life intelligence and “wonderful memory” helped
Erika secure a bachelor’s degree at Western Washington
University, where she graduated in 2004 with a degree in
Theatre Arts. After graduating she relocated to Seattle and
began acting immediately upon arrival.
Favorite roles include Nina in The Seagull, Bette in
The
Marriage of Bette and Boo, Frenchy in Grease, and Martirio
in The House of Bernardo Alba. She has also appeared as
Melody in the independent film Cupid, and Janie in Mallory’s
End.
Erika currently resides in West Seattle with her husband
Tyler and a pair of energetic young cats. When she is not
acting, Erika loves traveling and enjoying the natural beauty of the Pacific
Northwest.
