Best known for his 9-year tenure at Seattle’s Star 101.5 as the evening air talent, James Parker has been a successful radio personality for over 14 years. You may also recognize his distinctive deep and powerful voice from local television and radio commercials for the Experience Music Project, Seattle Super Sonics, and in national broadcasts such as the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah, and most recently as the announcer of talk show Amazon Fishbowl with Bill Maher.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, James began his career as an actor in various soap operas such as Young and the Restless, All My Children, and Loving. He has also starred in the music videos of Gutter Ballet by Savatage and Mama Gonna Knock You Out by LL Cool J. After being repeatedly encouraged by casting directors during his acting and modeling auditions to consider becoming a voice talent, James took a turn in his career to pursue voice acting.

Interestingly enough, James’ voice has often been compared to that of the legendary James Earl Jones, the voice behind Star Wars’ Darth Vader and CNN. To that end, James has been the voice for various video games including Sony Playstation’s Bust-a-groove II, Hoyle Blackjack and Casino Game.
