Originally from Arlington, VA, Kristen recently moved to Seattle and is ecstatic to be “settled” after being a gypsy for over two years. Her last permanent home was New York where she rehearsed on Broadway with Tommy Tune for the national tour of Dr. Dolittle. As the daughter of a professional ballet dancer, Kristen began dancing very young and is extensively trained in many styles. She is also a trained vocalist which lends to her professional background in musical theater. Her on-camera experience includes a featured role on Law and Order: Criminal Intent, and she hopes to explore her career in film and TV more fully here on the west coast.

Kristen graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Virginia with a degree in Religious Studies (South Asian focus) and Spanish. During her final year she spent a semester studying language and culture in Granada, Spain, where she developed a passion for Lorca’s plays and the music and dance of Flamenco. She speaks Spanish fluently and often sings flamenco songs in the shower.

A devoted yoga practitioner, Kristen is currently working on completing her teaching certificate at the Samarya Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing yoga and Integrated Movement Therapy to everyone, including those with special needs and serious illnesses. She loves cats (maybe a little too much), children, world travel, mountains, lakes, sunshine and snow, but not so much rain…she’s working on it.
