Kristin’s passion for the arts, especially theater, extends
into all aspects of her life. She’s an actress and theater
critic, has served on the board of directors of an arts
organization and – just for the fun of it – accompanied a
group of high school students to Scotland where they
performed in Edinburgh’s International Fringe Festival.
Kristin packs heaps of talent in her 5-foot-tall frame. Her
spunky personality, creativity, professionalism and
contagious enthusiasm make her a delight to work with.
Directors also admire her integrity and commitment to making
each project a success.
When Kristin was a young girl, her mother sometimes called
her “Sarah.” While her mom was undoubtedly poking fun at
Kristin’s dramatic flair -- the nickname was a reference to
actress Sarah Bernhardt – it’s possible she might also have
had a premonition. Kristin began acting shortly thereafter.
She’s performed on stages and in parks in the Puget Sound
and Eastern Washington. Favorite roles include Adriana in
Shakespeare’s “Comedy of Errors” and Poopay, a
Cockney-speaking dominatrix, in Alan Ayckbourne’s comedic,
time-traveling thriller “Communicating Doors.”
She studied theater at Western Washington University and has
continued her training under the tutelage of some of
Seattle’s best-known casting directors and veteran
performers.
If acting forms her heart, then ink runs through her veins.
When not in the spotlight, Kristin frequently can be found
in the audience working as a freelance performing arts
writer.
An award-winning journalist and public relations expert, she
knows the news business from both sides. After covering more
than 1,000 stories as a reporter, Kristin’s career path led
her to government. Today, she serves as a media spokeswoman
and manages outreach initiatives for the Seattle office of a
high-profile state agency. Her impressive public speaking
skills are a testament to her ability to shine in front of a
crowd or camera even when she’s not working from a script.
Kristin enjoys travel and is a recently minted Washington
Wine Ambassador, professing her appreciation for our state’s
vintners and their delectable juices. A fifth-generation
Washingtonian, she enjoys helping tourists find their way
around Seattle.
