A Seattle native, Marcel first began acting in his 3rd grade class play, portraying the role of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. However, nearly three decades would pass before Marcel performed again. While being mentored by Kibibi Monie of Nu Black Arts West Theater Company, and subsequently completing the Freehold Diversity Scholarship Program, Marcel fully immersed himself in his studies, and rediscovered a lost passion for acting.

Although Marcel's background is in theater, he recently began acting in films as well, having been cast in both lead and supporting roles in various local independent film productions. From stage to screen, Marcel has portrayed a wide range of characters, including a lion, a tribal chief/elder, a drug dealing, womanizing painter, a young nerd who becomes a US Attorney, (Bernard in Death of A Salesman), a beer drinking, cigarette smoking imaginary friend, and one of his favorites, (Minister Polonius in Hamlet X – “Marcel Davis gives a fantastic rendition of Minister Polonius, RICHARD MORIN, Seattle Weekly).

Marcel realizes that acting has the power not only to entertain, but, with the right story, and talented cast/crew, the power to truly make a genuine human connection, and hopefully inspire change. One of Marcel’s most rewarding acting experiences has been with Living Voices for the past 4 years, traveling all across the country performing a one-person educational theater presentation about the Civil Rights Movement.
Marcel is a proud father of two amazing children, Marcel Jr. and Joie, and a loving husband to his incredible wife, Sauda.
