Meeghan Black is currently a Meteorologist at KING 5 Television and co-host/producer of the very popular "Gardening with Ciscoe" segments. You can also find her occasionally reporting general news stories. Before joining KING 5 News in April 2000, Meeghan was a weather anchor and award winning general assignment reporter for KIRO TV in Seattle, WA since 1994.

Meeghan began her career in television news after graduating with honors from the University of Washington. Her first job in television took her to Pocatello, ID as a news anchor and reporter. It was then off to Wichita, KS as a news anchor and courts and crime reporter and finally to Spokane, WA before returning home to Seattle.

Meeghan has won numerous awards for her reporting work, including an Emmy for her work on a KING 5 Mt. St. Helens special "Echoes of the Eruption". Meeghan's career has sent her around the country and internationally in search of news stories. Most notably spending a month in Nagano, Japan covering the 1998 Winter Olympics, Times Square New York for the 2000 millennium celebration and Meeghan was right in the thick of it during the WTO riots in Seattle.

Meeghan was born and raised in the Seattle area, where she now resides with her husband and daughter.
