Jayhawk by
birth, Mossback by the Grace of God.
That sums
up Randy Scott’s journey from the wheat fields of Kansas to
the evergreen dampness of our nation’s upper left hand
corner. After over 20 summers that were like a hot hairdryer
blowing on your face and winters with snow up to your fanny,
Randy and his future wife packed up their four cats (and
multiple lint brushes) and moved from the Sunflower State to
Seattle in 1999. Unrepentant “foodies,” he and his wife
Ananda, who walked across the United States before she met
Randy (No kidding. Sea to shining sea.), bask in the
temperate climate and great dining options that the Pacific
Northwest offers.
Today
Randy is part of the “Waking Crew” morning radio show that
airs live weekdays on Seattle’s CMA Station of the Year 94.1
KMPS. In addition to rising (and often shining… but not
always.) each morning at 3 AM, Randy balances his time
between occasionally acting on local stages and tossing a
rubber ball for his beloved dog Fenway. Randy has also
written articles for several national publications and
websites as well as award winning advertising copy for many
regional advertising campaigns.
A huge Red
Sox fan, Randy counts attending Game Two of the 2004 World
Series in Boston as one of the most amazing experiences of
his life. That and sharing a cheese plate once with Willie
Nelson. But really, the World Series game afterglow has
lasted longer. Sorry Willie.
