As early as the 4th grade, Rusty Nelson was performing
self-written songs, skits, dances and jingles in the
classroom for fellow teachers and
students. No matter how embarrassing some of them would turn
out, he always kept going in effort to get people to smile.
Rusty has carried this same effort and energy to his life
these days. His enthusiasm, positive energy and love for
performing helps Rusty perform a wide-range of voices, to
create a believable, enjoyable and
specific sound whenever needed.
Rusty can be heard on recorded books with the "Golden Hours
Network" for Oregon Public Broadcasting. This service helps
provide books and stories to those people who aren't quite
privileged to be able to read, such as elderly, physically
disabled and the Blind. You also may hear him on Coca-Cola
commercials nation wide.
"I got into the business of voice over because it's fun for
me. I enjoy all aspects of it. It's very fulfilling for me
to see people extremely satisfied and entertained by
something I just provided them with. When somebody smiles, I
feel privileged to be the one to make all those muscles in
their face work at the same time."
His interests include sports, comedy, entertainment, music
and spending time with his family. Rusty currently lives in
Portland with his wife Michele and two sons Brock and
Carter.
